We are often the first step in a woman navigating her pregnancy decision. Although we provide valuable and up-to-date information on pregnancy, parenting, adoption and abortion.
The Pregnancy Support Centre of Westman does not provide or assist in arranging for abortions.

LIFE EXPERIENCE

Serving Westman for 35 years

WOMEN AND FAMILY MINISTRY

If you would like to be part of this dynamic, caring team of women and men who are making a difference in the lives of others, consider the opportunities we have available.

At the Pregnancy Support Centre of Westman, we realize that the success we have experienced with the women, babies and families we serve is directly related to the dedication of our volunteers and staff.

Opportunities to help
  • Client in-centre support worker

  • Maternity home client support worker

  • Reception and administration

  • Processing care closet donations

  • Assisting clients in care closet

  • Co-ordinate client on-line classes (new)

  • Fundraising and development (board)

  • Community education

Because of the nature of our ministry, most of our positions require a minimum commitment of one year. Another essential is the recognition of the true intrinsic value of all human life.

Some of our clients have survived a complicated or destructive childhood or are currently living in a difficult situation.

As part of the ministry team, we must be able to remain completely non-judgemental in our attitudes while at the same time being filled with hope and love.

Short term volunteer opportunities

Throughout the year we have opportunities for people to get involved without the full training commitment. There are opportunities to help us with cleaning, organizing and maintenance type jobs at both the centre and maternity home. Our clients and volunteers also appreciate the home made treats that are made with love.

We also have a yearly Baby Bottle Fundraising Campaign where you can help prepare the bottles and baskets before they go out to the churches and community groups. We also need people to distribute and collect the baby bottles in the churches and community groups that participate.
