A place of refuge

Kairos Maternity Home opened for residents in April 2015. The home provides safe housing and support to pregnant women who are facing homelessness and need to realign their life as they prepare to care for their child.

Residents will be able to live in the home for the duration of their pregnancy and up to six months following the birth of their baby. Residents will work towards completing program requirements during their stay at Kairos Home. By completing these program requirements and  focusing on education and career goals, residents will move towards independent living and a self-supporting lifestyle.

Assistance will be offered to residents in seeking and finding housing; the goal is to be able for each resident to find safe, permanent housing when she and her baby move out of Kairos Home.”

We need the financial and material support of the community to provide ongoing care and support to residents living in the home. Kairos Home provides 24/7 staff support to residents.

Join our monthly pledge program "1000 for $10". By simply committing to just $10.00 a month pledge through automatic fund transfers, you will play an important part as we establish the Kairos Maternity Home. Contact the Centre to sign up or to get more information.
