Our Purpose To provide life-affirming friendship and practical help to women in crisis pregnancies, to their families, and to their little ones before and after they are born. Our Goal The Crisis Pregnancy Centre’s goal is to provide you with the support that you need during a crisis pregnancy or post-abortion trauma. You will be communicating with a volunteer support worker who has received training in crisis intervention. She may not be a licensed counselor but she has a deep commitment to you and to your specific needs. The support is not a substitute for professional counseling. Our purpose is to provide you with information that will help you to make a well-informed decision. We care very deeply about the women that we serve. Our desire is to help the woman in an unplanned pregnancy and for her to take the time necessary to make an informed decision. There are difficult issues surrounding a crisis pregnancy; we have a variety of services to provide practical support for her. Our Staff We feel that confidentiality is of utmost importance. Your personal information will not be shared, except with your permission when we wish to refer you to other services, or where it is required by law. This occasionally happens in cases like abuse, potential suicide or homicide.                                               Care Closet We provide literature for our clients. We also have diapers, blankets, shampoo, soap, bottles and quality used bath tubs and baby and maternity clothes as available. Community Referrals We refer to a large number of community organizations and services when extra help is needed. Post Abortion Support Program For those who have begun to feel the devastation of an abortion, we provide a support program either in a group or one-to-one. You are invited to see our post abortion support page on this website. Abstinence Education Program We have developed presentations for teens, available to school Physical Education/Health classes and to church youth groups. The Crisis Pregnancy Centre of Westman is a non-profit Christian Charitable Organization. Our goal is to provide accurate information and loving support to the clients that we serve. We are not a political organization and thus we do not have a political agenda. While we fully acknowledge the legal rights and personal moral freedoms of our clients, we also recognize the potential vulnerability of their circumstances and therefore believe that the best decisions are informed decisions based on internal values and beliefs.
